Prices and payments
How much does a website cost?
Is there a monthly fee for Basic?
No. You pay the build fee once. Your site runs on your own hosting, which is usually free. Free changes for 14 days after launch, then $200 per change. Anything we built wrong is always fixed free. Want us to keep an eye on it? Add Basic Care for $100 a month.
What is Basic Care?
An optional monthly plan for Basic sites, $100 a month*. It includes a monthly check that your site, form, chat and security padlock all work; a reminder before your domain renews; one small edit each month (not carried over); and extra edits at $100 instead of $200. Month-to-month; cancel with 30 days’ notice.
It keeps your site working. It does not include Google or AI search work; that is what Plus is for.
Why do your prices say “from”? What changes the price?
Our listed prices cover the work shown in each package. Your quote may be higher if your project needs:
- a larger site with more pages than usual
- custom design beyond our standard layouts, such as illustration or animation
- extra features, such as an online store, member logins or connections to other software
- writing or photos we create for you, or a lot of content moved from an old site
- a business type with extra rules, such as health care, legal or food service
- a rush deadline
Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus GST.
Can the price change after I accept my quote?
No. Your quote lists exactly what is included. Once you accept it, that price is locked for the work described. Anything you add later gets its own quote before we start. Monthly fees don't go up during your 6-month minimum; after that, we give 60 days' notice and you can cancel without penalty.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. The owner replies within one business day to book your free one-hour call. You only pay $200 for your mockup after you accept the quote.
How do payments work?
In steps, as the work gets done:
- Your mockup: $200 (your call and quote are free)
- Mockup approved: half of what is left of your build fee
- Launch day: the rest
- Every month after: your monthly fee (Plus and up), starting launch day
Example for Basic: $200, then $500*, then $500*. No monthly fee.
How you pay: build payments by Interac e-Transfer, or by card on a secure Stripe invoice we email you. Monthly fees are charged automatically through Stripe, from your bank account (pre-authorized debit) or a card. You choose on your first monthly invoice. Bank payments can take up to 5 business days to clear.
Is the $200 mockup payment refundable?
Not usually. The $200 pays for your mockup, the design you see and approve before we build, and is not refunded, except under our late-launch promise: if we launch more than 30 days after the target date in your quote for reasons on our side, you get every build payment back, the $200 included. It counts toward your build fee, so it is not an extra charge. You keep the mockup either way.
Are there any other costs?
- Your domain (like yourbusiness.ca): bought on your own card at Cloudflare’s at-cost price, renewed yearly.
- Hosting: usually free. Your site runs on Cloudflare’s free plan.
- Card payments (Diamond): the payment company, Stripe or Square, keeps a small cut of each sale.
- Meta’s business AI: Meta bills its usage fee to you directly, not through us, from the day it goes live.
There are no extra tool fees for SEO or GEO. The software is included.
Why each package costs more
What does the Basic build fee pay for?
Designing and building your site around your services; setting up your domain, hosting and security padlock in your name; connecting every form, call and text button to your phone and email; and testing it all on phones and computers.
There is no monthly fee. Your site runs on your own hosting, which is usually free. Free changes for 14 days after launch. After that, each change, like new hours or a new photo, is $200. Anything we built wrong is always fixed free.
Why does Plus cost $700 more than Basic?
Most of the extra pays for your service-and-area pages, each written and built for one service in one town, like “brakes in Delta”. Those pages are how people near you find you on Google. The rest sets up and verifies your Google Business Profile (your free listing on Google Maps) and tunes the site for speed.
The $199 a month pays for steady work: fixes and small edits to the pages you already have, updates as Google changes and your monthly ranking report. New pages are quoted first.
Why does A.I. Optimization Plus cost $700 more than Plus?
The extra pays for answer pages built on the real questions your customers ask, listing your business on directories with the same name, address and phone everywhere and getting you mentioned on other local sites. AI tools like ChatGPT lean on exactly these things when they decide who to name.
The extra $200 a month pays for checking by hand what ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI say about you, keeping your listings current and your monthly report.
Why does Diamond cost $1,200 more than A.I. Optimization Plus?
About $900 pays for setting up and testing card payments, invoices, pay links and booking deposits. The other $300 is the AI Secretary setup.
The monthly math works in your favour: A.I. Optimization Plus ($399) plus the AI Secretary on its own ($149) comes to $548 a month. Diamond is $499, so you save $49 a month and the payment tools come included.
Can I start small and upgrade later?
Yes. Start with the package that fits today. When you step up, you pay the difference between the two build fees. If you already have the AI Secretary and move up to Diamond, you don't pay its $300 setup again; we take it off the difference. A new 6-month minimum starts from the upgrade, because that's how long search work needs.
Why not use a $300 website or build it myself?
You can, and for some businesses that is enough. The trade-offs to weigh: template sites tend to look like everyone else’s, building and keeping one up takes your own hours, many builders make it hard to move your site elsewhere and a site that is live is not the same as a site that shows up on Google. We custom-build every site, for phones first, in accounts you own.
Contracts and cancelling
Am I locked into a contract?
Basic: no monthly fee, so there is nothing to cancel.
Basic Care add-on: month-to-month. Cancel with 30 days’ notice.
AI Secretary add-on: month-to-month. Cancel with 30 days’ notice. The one-time setup stays yours.
Plus, A.I. Optimization Plus and Diamond: cancel any time in your first 30 days after launch with nothing more to pay (the first month's fee isn't refunded, since work starts on day one). After that, a 6-month minimum counted from launch, then month-to-month with 30 days’ notice.
What if I cancel Plus or up before the 6 months are up?
If you cancel Plus, A.I. Optimization Plus or Diamond after your first 30 days but before the 6 months are up, the monthly fees for the rest of those 6 months are still due. The same applies if a monthly payment is 30 days late during the minimum. Your first and last month are charged at launch, or pay all 6 months up front and save 20%. After that, cancel any time with 30 days’ notice.
Why is there a 6-month minimum on search packages?
Search work takes months to show results. Google itself says SEO usually takes 4 months to a year. The minimum means we commit to seeing the work through, and the first 30 days let you leave with nothing more to pay if it is not a fit.
What happens if I leave?
You take it all, once your build is paid: your domain, your accounts and your site’s code, which is already in your own GitHub account. No hostage-taking.
What happens if a monthly payment is missed?
If a payment is 30 days late, we pause your SEO and GEO work until it is sorted out. We never take your website offline, your domain stays yours, and your AI Secretary keeps running as long as Meta’s own usage fees are paid.
Ownership and your accounts
Who owns my website and domain?
Your domain is yours from day one: it is bought on your own card, in your name. The site is yours once your build is paid: on launch day its code moves into your own free GitHub account, and it runs in your own Cloudflare account, and we work in them as an invited helper. You can remove us any time.
Do you build on Wix, Squarespace or WordPress?
No. Every site we make is custom-built for your business and runs on Cloudflare’s free plan, in your own account. That means no monthly website-builder bill, pages that load fast on phones, and no being stuck on one company’s builder. If you want to edit your own pages yourself, ask us: we can quote a site on a website builder instead, and you would pay that builder’s monthly plan.
Do you see or store my card details?
Never. Card and bank details go straight to Stripe, our payment company. We never see or store them.

How long does it take?
It depends on the size of your project and how quickly the mockup gets your yes. Your quote includes a timeline for your project. If you have a deadline, tell us on the first call. Our promise: if we launch more than 30 days after the target launch date in your quote, for reasons on our side, you get your build payments back.
How many changes to the mockup are included?
Three rounds of changes are included in your build fee. Each round after that is $200, and we tell you before starting one. Starting over in a new direction after you approve the mockup is quoted separately.
What if something needs fixing after launch?
Plus, A.I. Optimization Plus and Diamond: fixes and small edits are included for as long as your monthly plan runs.
Basic: free changes for 14 days after launch. After that, each change is $200. Anything we built wrong is always fixed free. With Basic Care, one small edit a month is included and extra edits are $100.
Do I have to write everything myself?
No. You tell us your services, the areas you serve and how you talk about your work, and send a few photos. We shape it into pages. If you need writing or photos made from scratch, we include that in your quote.
I already have a website. Can you fix or replace it?
Yes. Bring access to your old website and domain to our first meeting, so you can sign yourself in, and we will move what is worth keeping.
What should I bring to our first meeting?

- Access to any old website, domain, Instagram or Google listing, so you can sign yourself in

Where are you, and who will I deal with?
We are based in Delta, BC, and serve Metro Vancouver and the greater Fraser Valley. You deal directly with the owner, who replies within one business day.

SEO and GEO
What are SEO and GEO?
SEO (search engine optimization) means helping your business show up higher on Google, including Google Maps.
GEO (generative engine optimization) means helping AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI find and trust your business, so they are more likely to mention you.
Can you guarantee first place on Google, or that AI will recommend me?
No, and nobody honestly can. GEO is a new field that researchers are still studying, and AI tools mostly pull from search results, so it grows alongside your SEO. What we promise is the work, plus a monthly report on where you show up and what AI tools say about you.
How soon will I see results?
Google itself says SEO usually takes 4 months to a year. Local businesses in Google Maps are often on the faster end. There are no reliable timelines for GEO yet.
The AI Secretary
What is the AI Secretary?
It answers your WhatsApp and Messenger messages, day or night, using rules we write with you. Instagram works too once Meta opens it to your account; Meta is still rolling it out. It runs on Meta’s own business AI. We set it up, write its rules and tune it every month.
Does it answer phone calls?
No. It answers messages only, not phone calls.
Can it take bookings?
It can answer questions and take booking requests, following the rules we set together. It takes the request and sends it to you to confirm. Putting bookings straight into your calendar takes extra setup. We show you how it handles them before it goes live.
Is it right for every business?
No. Meta doesn’t allow it for finance, government, health, alcohol, gambling, over-the-counter drug or matchmaking businesses. It also needs a verified business, a WhatsApp number on Meta’s business platform and a payment method on Meta’s side. It works best on a clear job: your hours, prices, services and booking requests. Anything it can’t answer gets passed to you. On its own it doesn’t give two staff a shared inbox or send chats into your customer software; that takes extra work. Ask us before you buy and we’ll tell you straight if it fits.
What does it cost?
$300* setup + $149 a month* as an add-on to any package, or included in Diamond. Meta bills a small usage fee for its AI directly to you, not through us, from the day it goes live. We’ll show you what to expect before we switch it on.
We handle the full setup in your own Meta Business account: the WhatsApp Business Platform, business verification, its knowledge and its rules. So the setup stays yours. If you cancel our $149 monthly tuning, it keeps its rules and keeps running. Meta needs a payment method on file, though, and Meta pauses it if its own usage fees go unpaid.
